In 2007, Ann Michaels & Associates realized the impact of customer feedback sites at the time, such as Yelp and TripAdvisor, and the potential benefit companies could receive from capturing that true, honest customer feedback.
In talking with clients, it was quickly learned that there was a desire to be able to capture this information easily and without the monotonous methodology of conducting online searches, visiting customer feedback sites on a regular basis, and other manual ways of monitoring a brand's online reptuation. To meet this need, Ann Michaels & Associates developed SafetyNet, a social media monitoring tool, which continually monitors the Internet for conversations surrounding a company, brand, or industry. Detailed reports of these conversations can be emailed to key members of a company, and analytical data can be generated.
Social media monitoring quickly became a successful tool for companies of all sizes and industries, and it wasn't long before social media exploded. Again, it was time to re-evaluate the needs of clients to see where they needed the most help. Because social media was so new at the time, many clients knew that it was important to engage in social media marketing, but didn't have the time, knowledge, or resources available to them. Ann Michaels & Associates listened to these concerns and developed a full-fledged social media management & marketing program.
